What's New For The 2019 Volvo V60?

While Volvo isn't a huge player in the United States, American car buyers are starting to notice the brand. In the U.S., sales are growing. In fact, they've increased by about 30 percent in recent years. Volvo made a few modifications in designing the V60. This year, the car company added a little extra room between the vehicle's front seats and its wheels, giving the sedan better overall proportions. It updated the styling and gave the car a more noticeable presence. This year's model features a new double-wishbone front suspension. A Cross Country model will be available later this year.

What are the Available Trims & Features for 2019?

Volvo is offering the V60 in three trim levels, which include the Inscription, Momentum and R-Design. Each trim is available with a set of powertrains. You can get the turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 or a supercharged and turbocharged 2.0-liter version.

When it comes to features, Volvo is equipping the sedan with comfortable City Weave textile seats. Placed on the seats and the door panels, the gray plaid-patterned material gives the interior a classy look. The material is durable, and it's slightly retro. If you prefer a nicer option, you can upgrade to fine Nappa leather along with seats that come with a massage feature. The 2019 Volvo V60 can also be upgraded to include a Bowers & Wilkins sound system. It has 1,100-watts and 15 speakers to fill the inside of the vehicle with quality sound.

Four Drive Mode settings are available with the 2019 V60. Each mode can be selected using the center console roller wheel. The drive mode options are Comfort, Dynamic, Eco and Individual. When you're driving the sedan in Comfort mode, the vehicle's throttle response and shift points will be tuned to increase your riding comfort while in the Dynamic drive mode, you'll enjoy a crisper throttle and zippier shifts to give you a sharper response. If you select the Eco mode, then the sedan's gearbox and engine will shift to decrease fuel use. This mode has a coasting feature that eliminates engine braking when the car is off-throttle and traveling at a speed that's over 40 miles per hour. With Individual mode, you get to choose your settings. When starting the car, the system will automatically shift to Comfort mode.

2019 Volvo V60 Power & Performance is Outstanding

2019 Volvo V60 Exterior FrontIf you buy the Volvo V60 in the T5 model, the vehicle will be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4. This engine generates 250 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque to the car's front wheels using an eight-speed automatic transmission. While this is the only gearbox being offered by the car company, you'll find that it functions seamlessly.

The T5 powertrain front-wheel drive model gets 36 miles per gallon when you're on the highway. If you go with the all-wheel drive T6 powertrain, then you'll have a sedan that comes with a supercharged and turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 engine. This one produces 316 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. It gets 31 miles per gallon on the highway.

Volvo V60 Safety Features

Volvo added traction and stability control to the sedan along with rear door safety locks and corner lights. It has plenty of airbags, and Volvo included systems like one that monitors the tire pressure and blind spots. LED headlights provide a high level of visibility, and emergency braking will help you keep an eye on the road.

With plenty of comfort and spaciousness, this is a vehicle that retains its practicality while its exterior styling means that it's a car you'll enjoy being seen in. Volvo Cars of Phoenix welcomes you to come out and test drive the amazing V60 today.
