What's New For the 2019 Volvo V90?

The 2019 Volvo V90 is the latest Volvo vehicle to debut for the brand and the newest addition to the V90 model series. The new V90 model is a luxury wagon that comes with some new standard features such as some more premium interior materials and alternate between different seat designs and colors depending on the trim level. It is also a new addition to the second generation of V90 vehicles in its line.

What are the features and trim levels of the 2019 Volvo V90?

The 2019 Volvo V90 can come in a unique set of different trim levels with their own set of special features to match. The V90 has two main trim levels with different configurations in them, and they are the T5 and T6 trims. The T5 trim is the more basic model but comes in the R-Design and Inscription versions, which have their own settings included in them. For example, both version of the T5 contain 19-inch wheels, roof rails, four-zone climate control and a forward collision warning system in place. The Inscription version does change up a bit in that it adds heated and ventilated front seats to its line. The T6 trim is more advanced and also comes in R-Design and Inscription versions, complete with turbocharged engines and all-wheel drive.

The base engine for the new V90 can churn out a 250 horsepower rating and run at up to 5,500 wheel rotations per minute and also generate up to 258 feet by pounds of total torque. It contains inline 4 cylinders and is required to run on premium unleaded fuel. Speaking of which, the V90 has a fuel economy that allows for it to run on 27 combined miles per gallon, operating with an EPA of 23 MPGs when on the main roads and 35 MPGs when on the highway. The engine also runs on an 8-speed shiftable automatic transmission for all trims.

There are numerous included safety features in all trim variations of the new V90, starting with the obvious things like rear door safety locks and child seating anchors for the smaller passengers. Other features include a pre-collision and post-collision safety system that warn drivers of potential accidents and keep status updates on the vehicle after an accident has already taken place. Daytime running lights are included along with front fog lights that can help with reduced visibility in certain weather conditions. An emergency braking assist feature exists in the event of damaged brakes, coupled with ventilated front and rear disc brakes to keep them fresh. Lastly, a blind spot warning and avoidance system has been installed to give drivers an increased overall awareness of their driving lanes when on the road.
