What's New For the 2021 Volvo XC60?

At Volvo Cars of Phoenix, we are thrilled to show off the most recent updates to our current line, and this begins with the impressive 2021 XC60. Volvo has introduced several significant updates. One of these is the renaming of the T8 plugin hybrid version. For 2021, this vehicle is now known as Recharge. Also, the XC60 has several now-standard features across all trims. These are powered and hands-free liftgate, USB ports, adaptive headlights, and many more.

Available Features in the 2021 XC60

The Momentum is the base and comes packed with an array of standard items including powered tailgate, leather upholstery, two USB-A ports in the front, and two USB-C ports in the second row, a panoramic moonroof, dual-zone climate control, and Android Auto, Apple CarPlay integration with a 10-speaker premium audio system.

The R-Design is the sporty trim and adds to the Momentum's features list with heated front sports seats, a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, black exterior trim, and 19-inch wheels. The Inscription trim includes luxury features such as ventilated front seats, four-zone automatic climate control, chrome exterior trim, upgraded leather upholstery, and ambient interior lighting. The high-performance Polestar Engineered adds onto the R-Design's feature set with 21-inch wheels with summer tires, 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins premium audio system, Brembo front brakes, and gold-colored seat belts.

2021 Volvo XC60 Power & Performance

The base engine for the XC60 is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, with 250 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The turbocharged variant puts out 316 horsepower, with 295 lb-ft of torque. This same engine is paired with the electric motor and battery pack in the Recharge plugin hybrid, it pushes out 400 hp, with 472 lb-ft of torque. You can go all-electric for 19 miles before the gas engine takes over. A separate model, XC60 Polestar Engineered, is a high-output version of the Recharge, getting 415 hp, and 494 lb-ft of torque.

Which Safety Features Are Available on the XC60?

Volvo XC60 is packed with safety and driver assistance technology. Forward collision mitigation, Blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic, and parking assist aids come standard on the base trim. A lane-keeping system can make minor steering adjustments if needed, and there's adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera system, and a head-up display that's available via several packages on the Momentum trim.
